Credits and usage

Checks on AI engines and AI tasks (scoring answers, recommendations, reviews, page analyses, the assistant) use credits from your account. Everything else is free: dashboards, answers, exports, the site audit itself, and adding questions or competitors.

A question asked from two countries counts twice.

Example

30 questions, asked weekly from one country on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Perplexity:

30 × (4 + 4 + 4 + 10) = 660 credits a week, about 2,900 a month.

Before every run, LaCleo estimates its cost. Runs that would not fit in your remaining credits are not run and are marked skipped, so you are never charged for them.

Your credits

• New accounts start with 5,000 credits. LaCleo adds more.
• The Credits bar at the bottom of the left menu shows what is left (editors and above). It says Running low at 10% or less, and Used up when there are none left.
• When credits run out, scheduled checks and AI tasks pause until credits are added. Your data and dashboards stay available.

The Usage page

Owners and admins can open Usage to see where credits went, over the last 7 days, 30 days or 90 days.

• Credits left, Used in total and Used in the last N days.
• Credits per day and By feature: question checks, answer scoring, recommendations, reviews and so on.
• For the account owner: By workspace and Credits received (starting credits and credits added by LaCleo).

Note

If you are an admin of a workspace someone else owns, its credits come from the owner’s account.
