Citations

AI engines build their answers from sources they trust, and most show those sources as links. The Citations page ranks the websites and pages cited in the answers to your questions. Getting your brand onto these pages is one of the most reliable ways to get recommended.

The Citations page: most cited sites, top domains and top pages

  • Most cited sites: the top 12 websites, as bars or a treemap. Your own site is teal.
  • Top domains: every cited website with its Citations (how many times it was cited) and Answers (how many different answers cited it). Click the number of answers to read them.
  • Top pages: the exact pages cited. Click the count to read the answers that cite each page.

Your own pages are marked (you). Each list shows up to 50 entries for the period and filters you choose.

  1. Find the publishers. Editorial sites (review sites, magazines, round-ups) that are cited often are worth a pitch, a guest article or a listing.
  2. Check whether you are in them. Open a top page: if it lists your competitors and not you, getting added there is a concrete fix.
  3. Watch your own pages. If your site is rarely cited, run a site audit to make your pages easier for AI engines to read and quote.
  4. Look at Reddit. Forums and communities are cited often, especially by Google AI Overviews. See Reddit.
